Harry Kane and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg each scored once as Tottenham defeated Fulham to keep their winning streak alive.
On Saturday afternoon, we won the London derby for the hundredth time in Premier League history, but to secure the three points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, we had to stave off a late Fulham comeback.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane each scored a goal in the first half to give us a well-deserved 2-0 lead. Aleksandar Mitrovic curled in a goal with seven minutes left to set up a frenetic finish, but we were able to hold on to make it six games this season without suffering a loss.
Kane tested Bernd Leno as early as the seventh minute, firing a right-foot shot that the Fulham goalkeeper deflected away. Four minutes later, Heung-Min Son's move went unnoticed and curled into the goal, but Kane's attempt to flick the ball in from an offside position resulted in the goal being ruled out.
Despite being clearly in the lead, we were unable to make the breakthrough. Son had a great opportunity to score after Kane found him with a chipped ball over the top, but he hammered the ball against the woodwork before Clement Lenglet diverted Son's nook into the side-netting. Son's attempt deflected off Tim Ream for a nook.
The first goal eventually came after 40 minutes, when our intense pressing forced Emerson Royal to give up the ball. Rodrigo Bentancur took control of the ball, and we worked it to Hojbjerg, who played a one-two with Richarlison and slid the return ball into the far nook.

After the smash, we maintained our depth in our play but found it difficult to go past Leno. After Eric Dier missed the target from eight yards out, Richarlison's low drive was blocked by the Fulham goalkeeper, who then used the slightest touch to deflect Sessegnon's angled strike just beyond the post and then denied Son's deflected shot.
While Fulham had previously come close, Lloris dived to his right to block Mitrovic's deflected drive, we added to our tally with a breakaway goal that concluded with Kane converting Sessegnon's low pass.
On the eighty-second minute, Richarlison nearly made it 3-0 when he volleyed Son's cutback toward the inside of the post, but instead it ended up being 2-1. Mitrovic reduced interior Cristian Romero and curled the ball home with an excellent strike after Fulham cleared their lines and hit us at the smash. With minutes remaining, Lloris had to scurry to his left to deflect any additional Mitrovic shots.
When Richarlison headed in Sessegnon's cross from close range in the 90th minute, we thought we had the game in hand. However, Sessegnon was later ruled to have been offside, and VAR decided the outcome. Though it didn't matter anymore, we continued with a third straight domestic victory.
